You will receive a seed packet containing 0.5 grams or a minimum of 50 seeds. Vitex agnus-castus commonly known as Chaste tree, Chasteberry, Monk’s Pepper, Texas lilac, Lilac Chasetree, and Vitex is a member of the Lamiaceae family. Despite the name Chaste Tree, it is a shrub, native to the Mediterranean and Asia. This plant has a long history of medicinal uses that continue into the modern-day, the most common being Chaste tree tea. This shrub grows rapidly and once established requires very little maintenance making it the perfect solution for landscaping in areas with poor soil. In late summer, clusters of small purple flowers will bloom, attracting pollinators and adding beauty and diversity to your garden or outdoor space. In areas, with cold winter months, Chaste Tree will die down to the ground but will return in spring year after year!

DEER RESISTANT- Chaste Tree is naturally deer resistant, but we do recommend protecting young trees, since deer find young, succulent leaves and branches of first year trees to be delectable.
