You will receive a seed packet containing 0.1 grams or a minimum of 75 fresh ORGANIC Valerian seeds. Valeriana Officinalis, also known as Valerian, Capon’s tail, Phu, St. George’s Herb, Vadal Root, and Cat’s Valerian is a member of the Caprifoliaceae family. This ornamental herb native to Europe and Western Asia was traditionally used to treat insomnia and anxiety as far back as the 17th century. Today research continues to study its mild sedative effects and other potential benefits. Valerian is also great for local pollinators such as bees and butterflies; planting valerian in your garden or outdoor space is a great way to support healthy ecosystems. The height of valerian makes it perfect for planting along borders and fence lines and requires very little maintenance. Valerian's long stems and delicate tiny flowers can be used as cut flowers in bouquets and will add charm to any flower arrangement! Growing Valerian from seed is so easy we know you'll enjoy growing this fantastic herb for years to come!
