You will receive one gram of or at least 30 passion flower seeds in each pack you order. Passiflora Incarnata commonly known as Passion flower, Maypop, apricot vine, and old field apricot is a perennial vining herb native to South Eastern United States. Spanish missionaries that came to North America used the flowers' unique physical features to explain the “Passion of the Christ” to indigenous people, earning it the name “Passion Flower.” Part of the Passifloraceae family, herbalists, and indigenous people use Passionflower in teas and topical poultices for its calming effects. The small egg-shaped fruit has a sweet flavor and can be eaten raw or cooked into jellies. Beneficial pollinators such as bees and the Gulf Fritillary butterfly enjoy feeding from the nectar of the Passion flower. This beautiful vine has so much to offer and will be the focal point of any trellis or archway this summer!
