- Description
You will receive a seed pack containing 40 grams or a minimum of 100 Bloody Butcher Corn kernels/seeds for planting. One of several Zea mays varieties, Bloody Butcher Corn is a dent corn variety that is known for its unique coloration and thus its resemblance to a Butcher’s apron. With rather tall stalks, some reaching upwards of 10 feet in height, the ears will come peppered with red, maroon, purple, and orange kernels.
For planting we recommend placing the seeds an inch deep in rich, fertile soil when temperatures reach around 65 degrees F. (18 C.). 1 inch deep and 3-4 inches apart, you will have your rows of corn in no time at all (around 100-120 days from sowing) so long as they are well maintained. This lovely corn variety will add some extra color to your produce crops!
