Its arching branches add architectural interest to open landscapes and many native pollinators, including bees, hummingbirds, and the giant leopard moth love its white flowers that bloom in spring. All parts of the pokeweed plant are poisonous to humans, but many birds are able to eat poke berries long after many other plants have gone dormant for the winter.
