You will receive one Variegated Bishop's Weed (Aegopodium podagraria 'Variegatum') organic plant in a 2.5-inch pot. Known by a variety of names, including Snow-on-the-Mountain, Goutweed, Ground Elder, Bishopweed, and others. This perennial groundcover flourishes in moist, dappled shade or partial sunlight and possesses edible, carrot-scented variegated leaves. Leaves will scorch in hot, sunny conditions. Spreads rapidly via rhizomes and may be aggressive; consider growing in pots or installing mechanical barriers to prevent spread in the open landscape. 'Variegatum' is less aggressive than its solid green progenitor but will likely outcompete and smother slower-growing plants. Consider our native blue violet (Viola sororia) as an alternative groundcover. Remove seedheads to prevent production of 'reverted' solid green seedlings. These are far more aggressive than the variegated form and will smother it and surrounding vegetation.  Removal of flowering stems also helps to maintain the neat appearance of the massed foliage.
